Story in Stupidity: Let's stone all of the gays.

Today, in our Story in Stupidity, we have Steve Anderson (again), a pastor from Arizona.

Steve has brilliantly discovered how to rid the world at large of AIDS and HIV. It's simply amazing, and you won't believe it--it's been there in front of us all the time.

Steve says:

"Here's what the Bible says, Leviticus 20:13, 'If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.' And that, my friend, is the cure for AIDS. It was right there in the Bible all along."

Amazing! The bible had the cure for AIDS all along.

He goes on to say:

"Because if you executed the homos, like God recommends, you wouldn't have all this AIDS running rampant."

Yes, I know what you are thinking. Not all cases of new HIV transmission are from male-to-male sexual contact.

And yes, many homosexuals are practicing safer sex.

And you are totally right.

But you guys--YOU GUYS--you have to understand. IF WE JUST KILL THEM ALL, that will totally and completely solve the problem.

Yes, you'll still have transmission of HIV via dirty needles, or via unprotected sex between heterosexual individuals, or via medical accidents or negligence.

But OBVIOUSLY, if about 60% of new cases are due to male-to-male sexual contact every year, Pastor Anderson is right. We should be able to cut the HIV transmission rate by 90%, just by murdering all of the gays.

I mean, just by justifiably executing all of the gays for living the life they were born into.

And I mean, isn't that what we all really want anyway?

What are a few innocent lives in there?

Wait, wait, wait, I forgot, they aren't innocent, are they? I mean, sure they were born gay, and sure the idea of having someone born with such an innate temptation seems like entrapment, but who are we to judge? God works in mysterious ways, right?

But really....this is one of those instances that I absolutely hated giving this guy another platform...but it's just crazy enough that I can't pass it up.

These are the logical conclusions of a literal interpretation of the bible.
